Did You Know?
#DidYouKnow is a series of events to inform our students and voters about issues that may concern or impact them in the upcoming midterm elections. The Political Science Club (PSC) and the SBSHS Pathway have invited politically minded guests to offer their insight at Broward College South Campus in rooms we designated “BCCivicSpaces,” venues where we have respectful, thoughtful, safe and open political discussions as we prepare for the midterms. Prof. Kari Hebert, Assistant Professor of Political Science and club advisor host Dr. Brenda Calhoun Snipes, Supervisor of Elections for Broward County.

The path to politics continues with Broward County Commissioner, Mr. Mike Udine.

Mr. Udine was elected to serve as the Broward County District 3 Commissioner in November 2016. For the past 13 years, he proudly represented the City of Parkland as Mayor and City Commissioner. Michael successfully led the city as it achieved ratings as the Best City for Families, Safest City in South Florida and Environmentally Proud City. He is a former adjunct professor in the Business/Legal Program at Broward College. Commissioner Udine is also a lecturer for the National Business Institute specializing in continuing education classes for business, insurance, and legal professionals.

Presented by The Political Science Club and the SBSHS Pathway #BCCivicSpaces we are “Projecting Politics” onto our campus walls. Watch political views from democrats, republicans, and independents as we try to figure out the issues as we lead up to the Midterm elections of 2018.
