Autism Awareness month was recognized on South Campus by a wonderful and insightful event organized and sponsored by the Psychology Club, Student Life, and the Social Behavioral Health Science (SBHS) Pathway.
To help spread awareness the clubs invited two very special guests, Doctor Diana Martinez, Chief of Pediatric Neurology at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital at Memorial, and Pediatric nurse practitioner, Zulema Arbide.

Our guest presenters showed a powerful video that has been nominated for a few awards. Beyond the Spectrum is a nine minute documentary about autism, how families are affected, and how they empowered themselves to be accepted. A beautiful piece, touching, and informative.

Thank You to our wonderful presenters for such an informative presentation and to BCSouth Student Life, the SBHS Pathway, and the officers of the Psychology Club:
President: Bethsy Berberena
Vice President: Jamila Floyd
Treasurer: Vanessa Guzman
